An orientation program that gamified learning; while engaging an agency


ABOUT

As much as agencies try, internships can get uninspiring, surprisingly quickly. Being at the bottom of the bottom rung, drowning in endless rounds of revisions, and getting limited time with mentors can leave interns feeling disheartened and lost.

That's How We Roll: a new, gamified way to move through your internship - making the process fun and inclusive and engaging the whole agency in the process.

Execution

Throughout the program, interns moved their piece around the game board - landing on educational challenges that not only took them out of their comfort zone, but gave them a rotating cast of mentors. From a game of pool with the CEO to learning how to use the 3D printer, these challenges facilitated connection and education in a fun, engaging way. 

The program also included a syllabus with bi-weekly tactical briefs by media - allowing interns to fully realize their concepting and presentation skills. This was lead by Katie Moore and Alex Ho.

Result

By the end of the summer, the interns left the agency with a mini portfolio, an understanding of the industry, and meaningful mentors to help them on their journey.
