Reviving the classic ‘Real Men’ campaign as ‘Stay-At-Home Humans of Genius’


ABOUT

Over 15 years ago, Bud Light created one of the most iconic advertising campaigns in history ‘Real Men Of Genius’ — a series of witty toasts to overlooked, everyday inventors. But in 2020 when the world went into lock down, a new cast of inventors emerged, the ‘Stay-at-Home Humans Of Genius’. So we revived the format of their beloved campaign, with spots that celebrated these new found, sometimes unlikely folk, making quarantine more fun for all of us. All with the same kinds of chuckle-worthy turns that populated their forebearers.  

As part of the launch there was a live Twitter thread, where people were invited to tag anyone who's made staying home more fun, and we quickly responded with a name that sang their praises.

Making Quarantine More Fun For All Of Us

Recording in the height of COVID was an adventure in itself. With everyone remote, we made use of countless Teams chats, Whatsapp messages and video calls to record the original VO artist Dave Steele, and new singer Brandon Beilis.
